When does Southwest release award seats?

TL;DR

Southwest doesn't run a fixed daily rolling window — it releases inventory in schedule blocks. See notes below for the current open booking range.

What to know

Block-based schedule extensions (~6–10 months out); no rolling daily window. Watch for periodic schedule extension press releases.

When should I search?

Watch Southwest's schedule extensions — bookings unlock in batches. ATF can monitor for you and alert when your dates become bookable.
