US Bank · 3 airlines + 1 hotel (+ Qantas pending)

US Bank rewards transfer partners.

US Bank finally has transfer partners. Flying Blue, Ethiopian, and Avianca are the active airline partners now — Qantas was announced at launch but is temporarily suspended pending an IT fix.

The short answer

US Bank launched transfer partners on August 11, 2026, a year after announcing them. Altitude Reserve points move 1:1 to Air France/KLM Flying Blue, Ethiopian ShebaMiles, and Avianca LifeMiles (Avianca added August 30, 2026), and 2:1 to Accor Live Limitless. Qantas was announced at launch but suspended within a day due to IT issues — US Bank says it is returning but transfers to Qantas are not currently available (as of Aug 2026). Transfers run through the loyalty transfer page in the US Bank rewards centre. Only the Altitude Reserve has the feature, the card is still closed to new applicants, and Real-Time Rewards still redeems at 1¢ after the December 15, 2025 cut from 1.5¢.

Sweet spots

  • •Flying Blue Promo Rewards: Monthly 25-50% discounts on transatlantic business class — the strongest reason to hold these points now
  • •Qantas Classic Rewards (suspended): Strong zone pricing to Australia and across oneworld — but Qantas transfers are temporarily unavailable since Aug 12, 2026 due to IT issues. US Bank says they are restoring it.
  • •Avianca LifeMiles (added Aug 2026): Cheap one-way Star Alliance business class without fuel surcharges — now a US Bank transfer option at 1:1
  • •1:1 beats the 1¢ floor: A point transferred at 1:1 into Flying Blue, Ethiopian, or Avianca is worth more than the 1¢ Real-Time Rewards gives you

Maximizing US Bank rewards

  • •Transfer, do not redeem: Real-Time Rewards pays a flat 1¢. Any partner award over 1¢ per point is a better use of the same balance
  • •Skip Accor at 2:1: Two US Bank points for one Accor point, and Accor points are worth about 2¢ each — you break even at best
  • •Confirm the award first: Transfers are one-way and Flying Blue lands instantly, so find the seat before you move the points

US Bank Rewards transfer partners: FAQ

Which airlines can I transfer US Bank Altitude Reserve points to?

US Bank Altitude Reserve transfers to 3 airline partners: Air France/KLM, Ethiopian Airlines, and Qantas.

What is the US Bank Altitude Reserve transfer ratio?

Every one of the 3 airline partners transfers at 1:1, so a point moved out is a mile in. That makes the decision purely about which programme prices your route best.

Can I transfer US Bank Altitude Reserve points to hotels?

Yes — 1 hotel partner: Accor Live Limitless. Hotel transfers usually return less value than airline transfers, so compare against the cash rate first.

Is there a US Bank Altitude Reserve transfer bonus right now?

No US Bank Altitude Reserve transfer bonus is running today. Bonuses typically appear several times a year, so it is usually worth waiting for one before moving a large balance.
