How the planner works
- Net cost = fare − value of the miles earned − value of status progress toward your goal.
- Miles use each programme's published rule: by fare spend where the programme earns by spend, else by distance and fare class. When the fare class is unknown, we show a range or the full-fare class rate.
- Status progress is valued at a fixed amount per Tier Point, XP or Loyalty Point, and only up to the gap to your goal.
- If we do not know an earning rule, we show it as unknown. We never guess it.
- Award tickets earn no miles and no status credit.
