Hyatt Status Match (2026)

World of Hyatt

Verified October 13, 2026. Program terms change often, so confirm on the official page before you apply.

Short answer

No. World of Hyatt has no public status match for Marriott, Hilton or other hotel elites. As of October 2026 it does run limited 90-day challenges for select corporate staff and for Aeroplan elites (up to Globalist after 20 nights), with registration reported open to December 31, 2026.

This is an editorial guide to World of Hyatt's match policy, not a tracked offer. We do not track a live end date for it.

Hyatt status match: what to know

Hyatt is selective with status. There is no application form for matching Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy or IHG status, although some members report that Hyatt has granted a challenge on request, and results vary. The official routes are the Hyatt corporate trial offer (open to employees of select companies, checked by company email) and the Aeroplan partnership challenge. Both give you 90 days to stay a set number of paid nights, with no points or cash spend beyond the stays. Hyatt Globalist is the tier people want; the challenges are the only quick way to it, otherwise it takes 60 nights or 100,000 base points in a year.

Region note: The corporate trial and the Aeroplan challenge are not US-only, but eligible companies and terms differ by market. Hilton Honors is the usual hotel-to-hotel match for UK and European readers.

World of Hyatt tiers

Tier What it means for a match
Discoverist 10 qualifying nights or 25,000 base points in a calendar year. The Aeroplan challenge awards it after four nights, and the World of Hyatt Credit Card grants it while the card is open.
Explorist 30 qualifying nights or 50,000 base points in a calendar year. The corporate trial and the Aeroplan challenge each grant it after 10 nights within the 90-day window.
Globalist 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 base points in a calendar year. Both challenges award it after 20 nights within 90 days. Benefits include suite upgrades, free breakfast and club lounge access.

Which status can you match from?

  • Select corporate employees: trial offer at hyatt.com/26trialtier (company eligibility is not published; you check by entering your World of Hyatt number and company email)
  • Air Canada Aeroplan elite members (25K, 35K, 50K, 75K and Super Elite) and eligible premium Aeroplan cardholders, via a 90-day challenge
  • Marriott Titanium and Ambassador members can get Aeroplan 25K from Marriott's Aeroplan partnership, which reportedly opens the Aeroplan-to-Hyatt challenge (indirect Marriott to Hyatt route)
  • No public match from Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards or Marriott Bonvoy directly

How to apply

Step by step for a Hyatt status match

  1. 1

Corporate trial: go to hyatt.com/26trialtier, enter your World of Hyatt number and company email, and see if your employer is eligible. Register before your first qualifying stay; nights only count inside the 90-day window that begins at registration.

  2. 2

Aeroplan challenge: link your Aeroplan and World of Hyatt accounts through the Aeroplan and Hyatt partnership pages and register for the 90-day challenge. Marriott Titanium or Ambassador members can claim Aeroplan 25K from Marriott's Aeroplan partnership page first.

  3. 3

Complete the required paid nights at any Hyatt hotel inside the 90 days: 10 for Explorist and 20 for Globalist on the corporate trial; 4, 10 or 20 for Discoverist, Explorist or Globalist on the Aeroplan challenge.

  4. 4

If neither fits, you can ask World of Hyatt member services for a match or challenge with proof of your current status. Outcomes vary and nothing is promised.

Requirements and limits

  • A World of Hyatt account.
  • Corporate trial: employer eligibility confirmed by your company email; one registration per email address and one trial offer from this channel every three years. Night credits from the World of Hyatt credit card or promotions do not count, only actual stays.
  • Aeroplan challenge: Aeroplan elite status (25K or above) or an eligible premium Aeroplan card; accounts must be linked before you register. Eligible Aeroplan elites can reportedly activate it once a year.
  • Registration deadlines are firm. Both offers were reported open until December 31, 2026.

Tips to get approved

  • Do not register until you have the nights booked. The 90 days start at registration and cannot be extended.
  • Status from the corporate trial is reported to run through February 2028; Aeroplan challenge status lasts for the rest of the calendar year plus 14 months. Confirm the exact end date on your registration confirmation.
  • American Airlines and Hyatt announced on September 9, 2026 that they are winding down their enhanced loyalty partnership, and Hyatt announced Delta SkyMiles as its new airline partner. No Delta status match has been announced, so do not plan around an AAdvantage or Delta route.
  • The World of Hyatt Credit Card reportedly grants Discoverist status while the card is open and adds qualifying night credits; confirm the current terms with the issuer.
  • Going the other way, Hilton Honors publishes a status match that accepts Hyatt Explorist and Globalist, so you can leverage Hyatt status into Hilton.

Hyatt status challenge: available

Yes, but only through limited offers. As of October 2026 there is a 90-day corporate trial (Explorist, then Globalist after 20 nights) for employees of select companies, and a 90-day Aeroplan-linked challenge (Discoverist after 4 nights, Explorist after 10, Globalist after 20). There is no open challenge for the general public.

See the status challenge hub for programs that let you earn status on a trial basis.

Hyatt status match: FAQ

Does World of Hyatt match status from Marriott or Hilton?

Not publicly. There is no application page for matching Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors status. Some members have reported being granted a challenge when they asked Hyatt, but it is not guaranteed and not a published programme.

Is there a Hyatt status challenge?

Yes, for limited audiences. Hyatt's corporate trial gives 90 days of Explorist and Globalist after 20 nights, and its Aeroplan partnership offers a 90-day challenge of 4, 10 or 20 nights for Discoverist, Explorist or Globalist. Both were reported open for registration until December 31, 2026.

How do I get Hyatt Globalist status quickly?

The quickest legitimate route is a 90-day challenge to Globalist (20 nights) through the corporate trial or the Aeroplan challenge. Otherwise Globalist requires 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 base points in a calendar year.

Can I match American Airlines status to Hyatt?

American and Hyatt said on September 9, 2026 that they are ending their enhanced loyalty relationship, so do not count on a new AAdvantage-based challenge. Hyatt's new airline partner is Delta, with no status match announced.

Can Marriott Titanium get me Hyatt status?

Not directly. Marriott Titanium and Ambassador members can claim Aeroplan 25K from Marriott's partnership, and Aeroplan 25K reportedly makes you eligible for Hyatt's Aeroplan 90-day challenge. Check both programmes' current terms first.

How long does Hyatt status last?

Status earned in a calendar year is valid through the end of the following year and then to the end of February after that, per Hyatt's published tier rules.
