Frequently asked questions
How do I add Award Travel Finder to Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http award-travel-finder https://mcp.awardtravelfinder.com/mcp. Claude opens your browser on the first tool call to sign you in.
Should I use the plugin or the command?
Both connect to the same server. The plugin also keeps itself updated.
Why was my request rejected with a header error?
The endpoint is OAuth-only. A leftover Authorization or X-API-Key header is rejected, so remove it from your config.
Do I need an API key?
No. The endpoint is OAuth-only, so no API key or Authorization header is needed.
What can I ask once it is connected?
Ask for award seat availability by route, date and cabin, compare programs and transfer partners, price a route in points, and set up route monitors. The prompts on this page are a starting point.
