Carnival Status Match (2026)
Carnival Rewards (formerly VIFP Club)
Verified October 13, 2026. Program terms change often, so confirm on the official page before you apply.
Short answer
Carnival does not offer a status match into its loyalty program, and its status does not carry across to Princess, Holland America or P&O. Your Carnival VIFP Club tier can be matched out to MSC, and Virgin Voyages has included it in limited-time windows.
This is an editorial guide to Carnival Rewards (formerly VIFP Club)'s match policy, not a tracked offer. We do not track a live end date for it.
Carnival status match: what to know
Carnival has said it has no plans for a status-matching program, and its loyalty program does not extend to other Carnival Corporation lines. Carnival has been moving from its VIFP Club to a new Carnival Rewards program, so check Carnival's site for the current program name and tiers. The useful direction for most cruisers is outward: MSC accepts requests from other cruise lines, although reports of what a Carnival tier turns into conflict.
Carnival status match chart
Reported results, not guarantees. Carnival Rewards (formerly VIFP Club) decides the tier when it reviews your proof, so treat this as a guide to what is likely.
| Program | Your status | Matches to | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carnival VIFP Club | Platinum or Diamond | MSC: sources conflict | Some guides say Gold for both, others say Platinum to Gold and Diamond to Diamond. Check MSC's form. |
| Carnival VIFP Club | Gold, Platinum or Diamond | Virgin Voyages: one-time Blue Extras | Tiers listed for Virgin's February 2026 round. Check Virgin's current list. |
Which status can you match from?
- None that we could verify. Carnival's loyalty program does not recognize status from other cruise lines or from Princess, Holland America or P&O.
How to apply

-
1
To keep status when you leave Carnival, apply to the line you want: see the MSC and Virgin Voyages guides.
-
2

-
3

Requirements and limits
- There is no Carnival application, because Carnival has no match program. Requirements come from the line you match to.
Tips to get approved
- MSC is the most consistently cited place to match Carnival status.
- Because reports of the resulting MSC tier conflict, do not book on an assumed tier. Request the match first.
Carnival status challenge: not available
Carnival does not offer a status challenge.
See the status challenge hub for programs that let you earn status on a trial basis.
