A cruise status match lets you ask one cruise line to recognize the loyalty tier you earned with another. Policies differ a lot, and most are not formal programs. Each guide below says what the line itself publishes, what independent guides report, and what we could not verify.
Cruise status match guides
MSC Voyagers Club
Yes. MSC Voyagers Club accepts a one-time status match request from members of other cruise lines and hotel programs, and MSC emails you the tier it grants. MSC chooses the tier case by case, and Blue Diamond cannot be reached through a match.
Virgin Voyages Sailing Club
Virgin Voyages status match runs in limited-time windows and gives one-time Blue Extras on a new booking, not a permanent tier. As of October 13, 2026 the latest window we found runs from September 24, 2026 to October 31, 2026.
Crown & Anchor Society
Royal Caribbean does not match status from other cruise lines. Its loyalty status match is one-for-one across its own group (Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity Captain's Club and Silversea Venetian Society), and it recognizes no status from other cruise lines or travel brands.
Celebrity Captain's Club
Celebrity Cruises does not match status from other cruise lines. Captain's Club matches one-for-one with Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Society and Silversea's Venetian Society, and Celebrity's own page lists the chart.
Norwegian Latitudes Rewards
Norwegian Cruise Line does not publish a status match from other cruise lines. Its official loyalty honoring covers only Latitudes Rewards, Oceania Club and Regent Seven Seas Society, and an NCL executive said in late 2025 that it is not planning a status match.
Carnival Rewards (formerly VIFP Club)
Carnival does not offer a status match into its loyalty program, and its status does not carry across to Princess, Holland America or P&O. Your Carnival VIFP Club tier can be matched out to MSC, and Virgin Voyages has included it in limited-time windows.
Princess Captain's Circle
Princess Cruises does not status match from other lines, including Carnival Corporation sister lines such as Carnival and Holland America. Captain's Circle status can be shown to Virgin Voyages in its windows and is named as eligible by MSC guides.
Holland America Mariner Society
Holland America does not match status from other cruise lines, and forum reports say Princess Captain's Circle Elite does not translate into higher Mariner Society tiers. Mariner Society status can be shown to Virgin Voyages in its windows.
