MSC Status Match (2026)

MSC Voyagers Club

Verified October 13, 2026. Program terms change often, so confirm on the official page before you apply.

Short answer

Yes. MSC Voyagers Club accepts a one-time status match request from members of other cruise lines and hotel programs, and MSC emails you the tier it grants. MSC chooses the tier case by case, and Blue Diamond cannot be reached through a match.

This is an editorial guide to MSC Voyagers Club's match policy, not a tracked offer. We do not track a live end date for it.

MSC status match: what to know

MSC is the cruise line most associated with status matching. Its Voyagers Club page invites members of other cruise lines or hotels to request a comparable tier, and MSC's FAQ says an approved match brings a 5% discount on future MSC sailings. MSC has not published a current tier-for-tier chart that we could verify, so the chart below is built from results members and independent guides report. Treat it as a guide to what is likely, not a promise, and read MSC's official page before you apply.

Region note: MSC runs separate status match forms by country (for example US, UK, Canada, Australia). Use the form on your own MSC site.

MSC status match chart

Reported results, not guarantees. MSC Voyagers Club decides the tier when it reviews your proof, so treat this as a guide to what is likely.

Program	Your status	Matches to	Notes
Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society	Diamond	MSC Gold	Reported by several guides and members. One guide lists Platinum as Silver and Diamond Plus or Pinnacle as Diamond.
Norwegian Latitudes Rewards	Platinum	MSC Gold	Reported by a member and one guide chart; the member waited about two months.
Hilton Honors	Diamond	MSC Diamond	Reported by members, including Diamond held through a Hilton credit card. One guide chart disagrees.
World of Hyatt	Globalist	MSC Diamond	Reported by a member.
Carnival VIFP Club	Platinum or Diamond	Sources conflict	Some guides say Gold for both, others say Platinum to Gold and Diamond to Diamond. Ask MSC or check the form before relying on either.

MSC Voyagers Club tiers

Tier	What it means for a match
Classic	Entry level of the matchable tiers. Perks are light; check MSC's Voyagers Club page for the current list.
Silver	Reported result for lower tiers at other programs, for example a Royal Caribbean Platinum in one guide.
Gold	The most commonly reported result for mid-to-high cruise-line tiers such as Royal Caribbean Diamond and Norwegian Platinum.
Diamond	The highest tier reachable through a status match. Reported for top hotel tiers such as Hilton Honors Diamond and World of Hyatt Globalist.
Blue Diamond	MSC's top tier. It is earned by sailing with MSC and cannot be granted through a status match.

Which status can you match from?

Other cruise lines' loyalty programs. Guides report matches from Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society, Norwegian Latitudes Rewards, Carnival VIFP Club and Princess Captain's Circle.
Hotel loyalty programs. MSC's own wording refers to other cruise lines or hotels, and members report matches from Hilton Honors and World of Hyatt.
Not airline programs. MSC's earlier published terms excluded airline cards, and guides report that MSC does not currently match status from the major US airlines.

How to apply

Step by step for a MSC status match

1
Make sure you are an MSC Voyagers Club member, or have your number ready. MSC's form asks existing members to enter their name exactly as it appeared at enrollment.
2
Open MSC's official Status Match page for your country. A guide reports MSC runs a separate form for each country, so use the one for your own MSC site.
3
Choose the program where you hold status and upload proof. MSC's form asks for a scan or screenshot showing your full name, tier level and the program name or logo, in doc, docx or pdf format up to 4MB at last check.
4
Submit the request and wait for MSC's email naming your tier. Reported waits range from a day or two to about two months.
5
Once matched, book your MSC sailing. MSC's FAQ says approval brings an immediate 5% discount on future MSC sailings.

Requirements and limits

You can make one status match request. MSC's form describes it as a one-time request.
Proof must be current and show your name, your tier and the loyalty program.
Request the match before you sail. One guide reports you cannot register for the match onboard.
MSC decides your tier when it reviews the proof, using its own internal conversion.
Guides report you need to sail with MSC again within about three years or the status lapses. We could not confirm the period on MSC's own page.

Tips to get approved

You only get one request, so apply with your single highest-value status. If you hold several programs, use the strongest.
Hotel status earned through a credit card has been reported to count, but confirm that on MSC's form before relying on it.
Do not plan around Blue Diamond. Diamond is the ceiling for a match.
Apply before you book if you can, so the 5% discount applies to the sailing you want.
If you also want Virgin Voyages, its match runs in separate limited-time windows and is a different, smaller benefit.

MSC status challenge: not available

We found no MSC status challenge with a trial period. MSC describes its program as a one-time match request.

See the status challenge hub for programs that let you earn status on a trial basis.

MSC status match: FAQ

Does MSC match status from Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Norwegian?

MSC says members of other cruise lines can request a comparable tier. Guides report matches from Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival, but the tier you receive depends on MSC's review and reports for Carnival conflict.

Does MSC match hotel status such as Hilton, Hyatt or Marriott?

MSC's wording covers other cruise lines or hotels. Members report Hilton Honors Diamond matching to MSC Diamond and World of Hyatt Globalist matching to Diamond. Marriott Bonvoy is reported as eligible, but reports of the resulting tier were not consistent.

What MSC tier will I get from a status match?

MSC decides when it reviews your proof. Reported results run from Silver to Diamond, with top cruise and hotel tiers usually landing at Gold or Diamond. Blue Diamond cannot be granted through a match.

Can I status match to MSC more than once?

No. MSC's form describes a one-time request, so use your best status the first time.

Does MSC match airline status?

MSC's earlier published terms excluded airline cards and guides report it does not currently match the major US airlines. Confirm on MSC's current form.

How long does an MSC status match take?

Members report anything from the same day to about two months. Plan to apply well before you book or sail.
